24 Dubai companies join Dubai International Chamber’s New Horizons Trade Mission to Kazakhstan
دبي في 19 مارس/ وام / بحثت 24 شركة من دبي – بدعم وتنسيق من غرفة دبي العالمية، إحدى الغرف الثلاث العاملة تحت مظلة غرف دبي -.. مع شركات ومستثمرين من كازاخستان آفاق تعزيز صادراتها إلى سوق كازاخستان، وفرص تأسيس أعمال لها في مدينتي أستانا وألماتي. جاء ذلك خلال فعاليات منتدى الأعمال الذي عقد في أستانا ، ثاني محطات البعثة التجارية التي تنظمها غرفة دبي العالمية إلى منطقة آسيا الوسطى، والتي تضم 24 شركة عاملة في الإمارة من 16 قطاعاً ونشاطاً اقتصادياً متنوعاً. حضر المنتدى الذي نظم في أستانا أكثر من 200 مسؤول حكومي وممثل لشركات كازاخستانية راغبة بالتعاون مع شركات دبي، في حين شهدت زيارة بعثة غرفة دبي العالمية إلى كازاخستان تنظيم أكثر من 180 لقاء أعمال ثنائيا بين شركات دبي المشاركة في البعثة وشركات كازاخستان في كل من مدينتي أستانا وألماتي. ويأتي تنظيم غرفة دبي العالمية للبعثة التجارية ضمن مبادرة “آفاق جديدة للتوسع الخارجي” التي أطلقتها بهدف دعم توسع أعضاء الغرفة وشركات الإمارة في الأسواق الخارجية. وترتكز المبادرة على تشكيل بعثات تجارية متخصصة مؤلفة من شركات الإمارة إلى أسواق عالمية مستهدفة، وتنظيم فعاليات ولقاءات في هذه الأسواق بهدف استكشاف فرص الاستثمار والشراكات الاقتصادية المشتركة. وتعتبر مبادرة “آفاق جديدة للتوسع الخارجي” جزءاً من جهود الغرفة لتحفيز التوسع الدولي لأعضائها نحو أسواق جديدة، وهي استكمال لمبادرة “فرص الأعمال تحت المجهر” التي تركز على توفير منصة لاستعراض الفرص الاستثمارية في هذه الأسواق قبل السفر إليها. وتتكامل المبادرتان مع الأولويات الاستراتيجية للغرف في دعم التوسع الخارجي لأعضاء الغرفة، إلى جانب الإسهام في تحقيق خطة دبي للتجارة الخارجية الهادفة إلى زيادة حجم التجارة الخارجية غير النفطية إلى 2 تريليون درهم بحلول عام 2026. وتركز غرفة دبي العالمية على دعم توسع 100 شركة من دبي إلى الأسواق العالمية في غضون العامين المقبلين. ولفت محمد علي راشد لوتاه، مدير عام غرف دبي، الذي ترأس البعثة التجارية، إلى أن كازاخستان تعد سوقاً مهمة لتنويع صادرات أعضاء الغرفة، مؤكداً أن التنويع الاقتصادي يعتبر جزءاً أساسياً من الخطط المستقبلية، مشدداً على أن البعثة التجارية تستهدف الارتقاء بالتبادل التجاري، وتعزيز صادرات تجار دبي إلى أسواق آسيا الوسطى. وقال ” عدد الشركات الكازاخستانية المسجلة في عضوية الغرفة ارتفع بنسبة تبلغ حوالي 82% خلال الفترة 2016-2022، حيث ارتفع عددها من 351 شركة في نهاية العام 2016 إلى حوالي 637 شركة مع نهاية العام 2022. وإذا نظرنا إلى عدد المصدرين من أعضاء الغرفة الذين صدروا إلى كازاخستان خلال العام 2022، فقد بلغ عددهم 119 مصدراً، وهو رقم نأمل ارتفاعه، والبعثة التجارية الحالية تستهدف زيادة عدد المصدرين من دبي إلى كازاخستان التي نعتبرها ضمن الأسواق ذات الأولوية للتوسع الخارجي لشركاتنا”. من جانبه قال أرداك زيبيشيف، رئيس لجنة الاستثمار في وزارة الخارجية بجمهورية كازاخستان إن دولة الإمارات استثمرت في كازاخستان منذ العام 2011 وحتى الآن حوالي 2 مليار دولار أمريكي، مشيراً إلى أن تجارة كازاخستان مع الإمارات تتطور، حيث بلغت قيمتها في نهاية العام 2022 حوالي 632.6 مليون دولار أمريكي، منها 72.3 مليون دولار أمريكي صادرات من الإمارات إلى كازاخستان. وأشاد زيبيشيف بجهود غرفة دبي العالمية في تنظيم البعثة التجارية ومنتدى الأعمال، الذي سيساهم بتطوير العلاقات بين الجانبين، وينميها بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة، ويعزز تطبيق المشاريع الاستثمارية بين الطرفين. وأقيمت جلسة نقاشية خلال المنتدى ضمت عدداً من المسؤولين والخبراء في مجالات الجمارك والخدمات اللوجستية والمصرفية في كازاخستان، حيث استعرض المتحدثون مزايا وفوائد ممارسة الأعمال في كازاخستان، مع الإجابة على كافة استفسارات ممثلي شركات دبي، أعقبها تنظيم اجتماعات أعمال ثنائية بين ممثلي شركات الجانبين، وتوجه الأعضاء في زيارات ميدانية عملية إلى عدد من مقار الشركات. كما زار الوفد في زيارة عمل مركز أستانا المالي الدولي. ونظم منتدى الأعمال بالتعاون مع سفارة الدولة في كازاخستان، وهيئة كازاخستان للاستثمار، وغرفة التجارة الدولية في كازاخستان، ومركز”كاز ترايد” لتطوير وتنمية سياسات التجارة. وتشمل القطاعات والأنشطة الاقتصادية التي تمثلها الشركات المشاركة بالبعثة التجارية كلا من مواد البناء، والتجارة الإلكترونية، والمجالات البيئية والكهربائية، والأزياء والملابس، والمناطق الحرة، وأثاث المنازل والفنادق، والضيافة، والمعدات والتجهيزات الطبية، والعطور والصابون ومستحضرات التجميل، والمنتجات الدوائية، والطاقة المتجددة، وأصول التجزئة، والطباعة الأمنية، والشحن البحري والخدمات اللوجستية بالإضافة إلى السلع الاستهلاكية سريعة التداول. وفي ظل تزايد الطلب العالمي على المعادن الأرضية النادرة بسبب ارتفاع واردات السيارات الكهربائية وألواح الطاقة الشمسية، تعتبر كازاخستان الغنية بالموارد المعدنية مصدراً هاماً لدبي التي يرتفع طلبها على تلك المعادن الأرضية، مما يشكل فرصة استثمارية جيدة لشركات تصنيع المعادن في دبي (مثل النحاس والفضة والزنك والذهب) لإنتاج مواد معدنية نصف مصنعة أو نهائية في كازاخستان. كما تعد الزراعة والسياحة من القطاعات المثالية والواعدة للاستثمار، إذ تمتلك كازاخستان 210 مليون هكتار من الأراضي الصالحة للزراعة مما يخلق فرصاً استثمارية كبيرة لشركات الأغذية الإماراتية. علاوة على ذلك، عزز كوفيد-19 السياحة البيئية في كازاخستان، والتي يمكنها أيضا أن تخلق فرصاً استثمارية جديدة لشركات دبي. ويمكن لكازاخستان ان تلعب دوراً مهماً كبوابة لمرور البضائع على طريق الصين – أوروبا، إذ من الوارد أن تخلق تنقلات البضائع الدولية العابرة لحدود كازاخستان فرصًا استثمارية كبيرة لشركات دبي. وتلتزم غرفة دبي العالمية بتمكين شركات دبي من التوسع بنجاح في الأسواق العالمية، مدعومة بشبكة قوية من المكاتب التمثيلية الخارجية لغرفة دبي العالمية في مختلف أنحاء العالم. وتدعم الغرفة أهداف الإمارة في رفع قيمة تجارة دبي الخارجية من 1.4 تريليون درهم إلى 2 تريليون درهم بحلول العام 2026.
Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has arrived at Kazakhstan, the second destination in the New Horizons Trade Mission to Central Asia.
The event brought Dubai-based companies to discuss exporting and investing in the Kazakh market while engaging in a business forum and a series of high-level meetings with senior government officials, business leaders and eminent investors.
The large delegation comprising 24 Dubai-headquartered companies representing 16 economic sectors attended the business forum in Astana, opened by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President & CEO of Dubai Chambers.
The forum was attended by over 200 government officials and representatives from Kazakh companies interested in collaborating with Dubai-based companies.
Across a period of two days, more than 180 B2B meetings were facilitated in Astana and Almaty between Dubai-based companies participating in the mission and their counterparts from Kazakhstan.
New Horizons is an initiative spearheaded by Dubai International Chamber to drive the international expansion of Dubai businesses into new select markets while promoting Dubai as a thriving global investment hub for companies from those markets.
It builds on the chamber’s ‘In Focus’ scheme, which brings public and private sector leaders of select countries to Dubai to connect with Dubai businesses and drive their interest in those markets as potential destinations for global business expansion.
Both initiatives aim to assist in driving members’ international expansion while supporting Dubai’s plan to increase the emirate’s foreign trade to AED2 trillion by 2026.
One of the Chamber’s key objectives is to support 100 businesses to expand globally within the next two years.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers said: “Our growing trade with Kazakhstan emphasises the importance we must put on building stronger bilateral trade with nations in Central Asia. Kazakhstan is a key strategic trading partner to Dubai and the UAE. In 2022, our members’ exports and re-exports to Kazakhstan reached AED192 million, a relatively low figure given the great potential for bilateral trade expansion.
Further evidence to this exciting potential is a significant 82 percent growth in the number of Kazakh companies that joined Dubai Chamber of Commerce, from 351 in 2016 to 637 in 2022, as well as an increase of total Dubai exporters to Kazakhstan to 119 in the same year, a figure we would like to see grow. Our mission aims at increasing bilateral trade and Dubai exports to Kazakhstan.”
Sharing similar sentiments, Ardak Zebeshev, Chairman of the Investment Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of Kazakhstan, echoed, “Our joint work does not stop there. Since 2011, the UAE has invested approximately US$2 billion in Kazakhstan. Presently, the trade between Kazakhstan and the UAE is actively developing and amounted to US$632.6 million at the end of 2022. Of this, imports from the UAE amounted to US$72.3 million.
I express my gratitude to the Dubai International Chamber team for organizing this wonderful event that will undoubtedly benefit both our nations. I am confident that not only will it benefit our already strong, friendly and long-standing relationship, but it will also contribute to the prosperity of the people in both countries.”
In addition to a discussion involving several officials and experts from Kazakhstan’s customs, logistics and the banking sector, the business forum also saw a presentation on the investment opportunities in Kazakhstan by Azamat Kozhanov, Managing Director of Kazakh Invest. Part of the trade mission programme included a visit to Astana International Financial Centre and site visits to the headquarters of several companies in Kazakhstan.
Key partners supporting the business forum include the UAE Embassy in Kazakhstan, QazTrade, Kazakh Invest and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
Companies participating in the trade mission represent several economic sectors and activities including building materials, e-commerce, environmental and electrical fields, fashion and clothing, free zones, home and hotel furniture, hospitality, medical equipment and supplies, perfumes, soaps and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, financial assets, retail, security printing, ocean freight and logistics as well as FMCG.
There is a high global demand for rare earth metals due to the growing imports of electric cars and solar panels.
Kazakhstan is rich with mineral products and Dubai has high demand for these metals. This can create an investment opportunity for Dubai’s metal manufacturing companies (e.g., copper, silver, zinc, gold) to produce semi-manufactured or final metal products in Kazakhstan.
Other opportunities in Kazakhstan include agriculture and tourism. The country has 210 million hectares of arable land which creates large investment opportunities for UAE food companies. Moreover, COVID-19 has boosted ecotourism in Kazakhstan, which can create new investment opportunities for Dubai companies.
With logistics being one of the important sectors of the UAE’s economy, there is also an opportunity for Kazakhstan to play an important role as a transit country in the China-Europe route. Growing volumes of international transit traffic through Kazakhstan creates large investment opportunities for Dubai companies.
